My Boys

These are just some random pictures we've taken over the last week. Todd must've taken the ones of Josh in his crib because I can't remember doing it!
Just one side note....Josh LOVES linkidoos...I don't know if that's how you spell it, but any mom out there knows what I'm talking
about. I try to remember to never leave the house without them and I attach them to whatever toy he's playing with! Here he is lovin' him some linkidoos!
Todd got the fire hat from some restaurant for Tyler, but it looks like Josh is having all the fun with it. Can we say future fireman?

Sick Boy

I wouldn't normally post about my kids being sick, but this is only the second time that Tyler's really been sick in his 2 1/2 years of life. I feel so bad for him. :( It's been 24 hours so we'll see how he is today once he wakes up. He slept in his doorway last night with his bucket close by. I just had to snap these pictures of him. He's so cute when he's asleep! Also when he's not, but you know what I mean. :)
I also had to post this picture of Josh sleeping in his jumperoo. He does this all of the time and I love it! He'll bounce and bounce and get so worn out. It's too funny! So far Josh hasn't gotten sick, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Try, Try, Again

This was actually Josh's third try with rice cereal. He took about 10 bites, but he didn't enjoy it at all! It was very funny though. Sorry the picture is very blurry. I took it with my cell phone and he kept moving around. Silly boy! We'll just keep trying!

It Beats Paying $18

Raise your hand if you agree that paying $18 (including tip) is too much to pay to have your 2 1/2 year olds hair cut??....That's what I thought. So last Sunday I decided to have a try at cutting Tyler's hair myself. I seriously went into this not knowing what I was doing at all. Thanks to Todd I didn't give Tyler a bowl cut! I did mess up in the back a little, but of course you're not going to see those pictures! It's hardly noticeable anyway. But regardless of that, I think I did a pretty good job and I can say so long to those over priced children's hair salons!

On The Way To Growing Up

Sigh.....I can't believe how fast Josh is growing up! Yesterday he rolled over for the first time. He woke up around 4:30am, I fed him, laid him back down awake at 5:15. He usually puts himself back to sleep by talking and scratching the sheets. But he had another thing in mind this time. He was fussing more than usual so about 30 minutes later I went to see what his dilemma was and he was on his back! I was pretty surprised! Anyway, I put him back on his tummy to see if he would do it again and sure enough..he did! He received much praise and by this time there was no putting him back to sleep. Unfortunately he had no more tricks in him the rest of the day, but he woke up from one of his naps today on his back and happy as ever. I just can't believe how fast time flies. I love my two boys!!
These pictures are from this afternoon. Josh went shirtless since it was a hot day.

Moments To Treasure

The past few days have been pretty busy. Tuesday and Wednesday my mother-in-law came over to help me build the tree for Tyler's room. We've wanted to do this since he was born basically...and now we finally have the time! Lynda has been so great. I know I couldn't have done this project without her. She is doing most of the work, but I'm learning a lot from her! I'll post pictures of the progress. I can't wait until it's done!
Also, Wednesday night the bulb in our tv went out. We'd been getting a warning on our screen for about 6 or 7 months that we need to replace it, but didn't want to pay the $100 it costs to do so. Well, we finally had to shell out the cash and get a new one. It arrived today! YAY! I have to say that it's pretty pathetic how much my life revolves around television. I definitely get more done when I don't have it! I play with the kids more and I hardly sit down unless I'm eating. In a way, it's kinda nice. I did so much today that my legs are sore! Anyway, it certainly has been a learning experience.
Today Tyler's friend Ethan came over to play while his mom went grocery shopping. They had a lot of fun and played well together. They were really silly. Amanda (Ethan's mom) brought taco bell for lunch. It was yummy! We had fun visiting and playing with the kids. It was a nice day!

Tyler decided he wanted to try some of Josh's formula. Ooops!

My sweet baby boy. He's getting so big!

Tyler's tree comes to life! Thanks Lynda!!!!

"Ra Ra Ra"

My dad did a show for Radio Shack last August and got lucky enough to get his picture taken with a couple of real live Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Lucky him! My mom looks pretty amused! haha
I know I'm kinda late getting this up here, but I just noticed it on my sister-in-laws blog yesterday. Thanks Lexy!
