Run-In With the Law!

Okay....not really! I had to stop by the store earlier today to pick up a few things and Tyler was sooooo excited to see not one, but two police cars! This nice officer noticed him eyeing his car so he waved to us to come over to him and he gave Tyler a badge sticker! Tyler looooves it! And even though he technically isn't supposed to take pictures, he was nice enough to indulge me! This was such a fun experience for Tyler!...and me! :)

Holdin' His Own

Today I decided to start teaching Josh how to hold his own bottle. He'd do it every now and then, but now I'm training hard core! And wouldn't you know...he's picking it up so well! I just hold the bottle in front of him and he actually reaches for it. Of course he's still not a pro, but it won't be long. Don't get me wrong....I'm not trying to force my child to grow up faster than he's supposed to. I'm actually just testing something out. Tyler held his bottle at 6 months and I always wondered if he would've/could've held it sooner if I had thought to let him. Another reason I'm doing it is for convenience! You all know what I mean. Anyway, just another step to growing up! My little man is getting so big!! :)

Wall-E

This morning Todd and I took Tyler to see Wall-E. Grandpa and Grandma Williamson came too! He seemed to like it a lot! He sat in his seat for the first half of the movie, then rotated between standing up on the rails and sitting in our laps. I was so glad that he was good! He got to wear his Wall-E outfit that I bought him a couple weeks ago and we also hooked him up with his own Kid's Pack snack! He felt like a big boy! And to top it off, he went potty TWICE last night, so this kinda acted as a reward for that....even though he got his cars last night as a reward also. He is becoming such a big boy and we are so proud of him!

Looking Back

This post is completely self indulgent. I thought it would be fun to look back at some older pictures and reminisce a little! Please forgive me!
My bridal shower. Todd showed up at the end and surprised me with this autographed drawing of the Houston temple.

Todd and I were married on March 16th 2001 in the Houston Texas Temple. It was the happiest day of my life!

Very few of you will know any of these people, but if your from Baytown and you ever attended a party at my house you'll recognize some of them! By the way....I'm under my sister...the one in the glasses.

This is me at 13 months. I was such a cutie!

A Conversation with a Two and Half Year Old

Mom: Tyler, I'm so sorry you're sick
Tyler: Yeah, I'm sick
Mom: Does your tummy hurt?
Tyler: Yeah. Mom?
Mom: Yes sweetheart?
Tyler: I'm not seven...I'm sick.

HaHa!

I was on the phone....Ooops!

This is what happens when you let your kid loose with a dry erase marker for just a few minutes while your head is turned. He was supposed to be tracing his letters.

scrapBOOTH

scrapBOOTH is the name of Todd's photobooth company. He's partners with a good friend from work. Basically, it's a photobooth, but the guests put their pictures into a pre-made scrapbook so by the end of the event, it's ready for the bride and groom to take home. Not only is the scrapBOOTH for weddings, it's also for company parties, anniversaries, bar mitzvahs, school dances, etc....They have attended the last 3 Phoenix Bridal Shows and are already booked for next January and June. They have received an overwhelming response from brides so we're really excited! If any of you know of anyone who is getting married or who has another exciting event coming up, let them know about scrapBOOTH! It's really a lot of fun! Visit www.scrapbooth.com

My Boys

These are just some random pictures we've taken over the last week. Todd must've taken the ones of Josh in his crib because I can't remember doing it!
Just one side note....Josh LOVES linkidoos...I don't know if that's how you spell it, but any mom out there knows what I'm talking
about. I try to remember to never leave the house without them and I attach them to whatever toy he's playing with! Here he is lovin' him some linkidoos!
Todd got the fire hat from some restaurant for Tyler, but it looks like Josh is having all the fun with it. Can we say future fireman?

Sick Boy

I wouldn't normally post about my kids being sick, but this is only the second time that Tyler's really been sick in his 2 1/2 years of life. I feel so bad for him. :( It's been 24 hours so we'll see how he is today once he wakes up. He slept in his doorway last night with his bucket close by. I just had to snap these pictures of him. He's so cute when he's asleep! Also when he's not, but you know what I mean. :)
I also had to post this picture of Josh sleeping in his jumperoo. He does this all of the time and I love it! He'll bounce and bounce and get so worn out. It's too funny! So far Josh hasn't gotten sick, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Try, Try, Again

This was actually Josh's third try with rice cereal. He took about 10 bites, but he didn't enjoy it at all! It was very funny though. Sorry the picture is very blurry. I took it with my cell phone and he kept moving around. Silly boy! We'll just keep trying!

It Beats Paying $18

Raise your hand if you agree that paying $18 (including tip) is too much to pay to have your 2 1/2 year olds hair cut??....That's what I thought. So last Sunday I decided to have a try at cutting Tyler's hair myself. I seriously went into this not knowing what I was doing at all. Thanks to Todd I didn't give Tyler a bowl cut! I did mess up in the back a little, but of course you're not going to see those pictures! It's hardly noticeable anyway. But regardless of that, I think I did a pretty good job and I can say so long to those over priced children's hair salons!

On The Way To Growing Up

Sigh.....I can't believe how fast Josh is growing up! Yesterday he rolled over for the first time. He woke up around 4:30am, I fed him, laid him back down awake at 5:15. He usually puts himself back to sleep by talking and scratching the sheets. But he had another thing in mind this time. He was fussing more than usual so about 30 minutes later I went to see what his dilemma was and he was on his back! I was pretty surprised! Anyway, I put him back on his tummy to see if he would do it again and sure enough..he did! He received much praise and by this time there was no putting him back to sleep. Unfortunately he had no more tricks in him the rest of the day, but he woke up from one of his naps today on his back and happy as ever. I just can't believe how fast time flies. I love my two boys!!
These pictures are from this afternoon. Josh went shirtless since it was a hot day.
